Full description
Explore beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon’s capital, surrounded by beautiful mountain views. Each evening, travel away from the city lights to a relaxing Northern Lights viewing spot, the Aurora Center. Your evenings will be filled with opportunities to gaze upon the northern lights beside a warm wood stove or roaring campfire, leaving your daytime open for sightseeing, shopping, and touring the city.
Day 1:
Take the stress out of travel when you're picked up from Yukon Airport and be transferred to your Whitehorse hotel. In the evening, meet your guide in the hotel lobby to embark on your first night of viewing the Northern Lights at the Aurora Center. Afterwards, return to your hotel in Whitehorse to rest up before your adventurous second day.
Day 2:
Start your second day with a guided tour exploring sights of Whitehorse. Visit the SS Klondike National Historic Site; among the last of the great paddlewheelers that plied the Yukon River system until the 1950’s. See the Old Log Church, the oldest building in Whitehorse, and the unique Log Cabin Skyscraper, a three-story tower made completely out of logs. Finish your morning with a stroll down Main Street, shopping at boutique stores, walking through galleries, and relaxing at a café.
For the rest of the day, explore Whitehorse on your own, or sign up for a short afternoon tour to see other attractions outside the city and get to know Yukon's wilderness. After dinner, be escorted to your next opportunity to gaze at the Northern Lights for your second night out. Relax in sheltered comfort, or under the starry sky beside a warm fire at a tailor-made aurora viewing location before returning to your Whitehorse hotel.
Day 3:
Take the entirety of the third day to explore Whitehorse at your own pace. After dinner, meet your guide to set out on your last visit to Aurora Center to capture your final glimpse of the Northern Lights. At the end of the night, your guide will return you to Whitehorse.
Day 4:
On the final day, be transferred to the airport to complete your experience.
