Enjoy historic Tanunda, with a stroll along the high street. Explore local shops or grab a coffee and take 20 minutes to relax and soak in the charming atmosphere of this picturesque town. From Tanunda, we’ll head to the beautiful Turkey Flat Vineyards, a family-owned winery with a proud history dating back to 1847. Enjoy a beautiful wine tasting followed by an incredible regional platter lunch made up of local meats, fresh breads, cheeses, pâté, and an assortment of delights. This is the perfect meal to savor during a day of wine tasting, with special dietary needs catered for. After lunch, we’ll make our way to Menglers Hill, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the valley. This is the ideal spot to reflect on where you've been and where you'll head next. Our third cellar door is a real gem exclusive to Taste the Barossa: the stunning Rosenvale Vineyards, owned by the sixth-generation Rozenwieg family. Let Rosenvale host you, as you experience a sensational tasting experience. This picture-perfect setting will delight as you taste wines produced from the very vines that surround you—World-class is an understatement! Time to enjoy a scenic drive through Seppeltsfield, where you'll have the opportunity to snap a photo of the iconic Date Palms, and learn about their fascinating origin and the legacy of Seppeltsfield. As we make our way back to Adelaide CBD, sit back, listen to some relaxing music, and perhaps close your eyes for a quick nap. Join us, and let our expert Taste the Barossa tour guides showcase this World Class region. With historic wineries, wonderful regional food, and breathtaking scenery, this is a day you will always treasure.

Greeted by friendly crew, you will be guided through the safety briefing then out to the helicopter. Where the crew will take a photo (using your camera or phone) of you standing next to the helicopter. Lifting off from the Hoffnungsthal Valley, enjoy a helicopter flight northeast over Rowland Flat home of Jacob’s Creek Winery, where some of Australia’s largest wine tanks are located - these tanks hold up to 1.4 million litres of WINE! From there your flight takes you to the southern end of the Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and over the Whispering Wall which holds back the Barossa Reservoir, returning finally to our base in the Hoffnungsthal Valley.

We then make our way to Whispering Wall, Melbas Chocolate Factory, Wrights Cheese for tasting and then Hahndorf with some free time to explore this Historic Town. Mt Lofty Lookout for a stop to over see the City of Adelaide weather permitting. Departing back to Adelaide by 5pm - 5:30pm. Greet the crew and be guided through the safety briefing before heading out to the helicopter. Take a photo standing next to it, then hop aboard for a fascinating adventure. Depart from the Hoffnungsthal Valley and fly northeast over Rowland Flat, with tanks holding up to 1.4 million liters of wine. Listen to live commentary from your pilot as you're taken to the southern end of Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall. Head upstream to the South Para Reservoirs before returning to the base via Williamstown, capturing a view of the southern ranges.

Brilliant Barossa day of wine tasting, wildlife and scenery. Let our amazing Groovy tour guides host you on a fabulous Barossa day out, and enjoy the Barossa Valley the Groovy way....... Start your day with a scenic drive through the Adelaide Hills as we head to Gumeracha, home to the Big Rocking Horse. Set in a wildlife park, admire the World's largest rocking horse from the ground or climb to the top for breathtaking views. There's time to feed and interact with the friendly kangaroos and wallabies (small fee) or grab yourself a coffee or a toasted sandwich if you’re feeling peckish before continuing your Groovy day. Next, we visit the Whispering Wall, one of the world’s most remarkable acoustic phenomena. This will blow your mind! Spy your first vines of the day as we approach the stunning Barossa Valley, and our first wine tasting at Kies Family Winery. Family-owned and operated we will. sample a selection of their award-winning wines. We then continue to the iconic Lambert Estate where a host will take you through a wonderful tasting experience. Time for lunch where we enjoy freshly baked gourmet pizzas served in the center of the table with all kinds of toppings! And theres plenty of time to mingle with your fellow Groovy friends. Time to check out the views as we head to Menglers Hill Lookout. See where you've been and where your heading and grap a photo of this stunning region. Descend into the heart of the valley next where the afternoon is all about living like a local as you have 45 minutes to enjoy the delights of Tanunda. What you do here is up to you...... Enjoy a wine tasting at Z Wines, the inspiration of sisters Janelle and Kristen Zerk (Z for Zerk) who continue the families rich wine producing history spanning 5 generations. Alternatively, visit the Rein Bier Brewhouse Cellar door and taste a few locally brewed beers (Brewhouse tasting own cost). Or simply wander and explore Tanunda’s charming shops, buy a souvenir, or enjoy a coffee or an ice cream, relaz and watch the workd go by. Time now to head back to Adelaide after your Groovy Adventure; have a snooze, or chat to new found friends and reflect on your Groovy day.

Lifting off from the heli-pad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley, enjoy flying over Rowland Flat taking in the views of Jacob’s Creek Winery’s “tank farm”, before heading to Lyndoch, at the southern end of the Barossa, where you will arrive in style at Kies Family Wines. From our landing site directly at the entrance to Kies Family Wines Cellar door you will be introduced to the Kies Crew, who give great pleasure in guiding you through a tasting of their extensive range. Choose your favourite and then head to the café for a delicious 2 course lunch. Kies is a favorite of ours, and they make our groups feel super special. But the fun doesn’t stop there – next up is Lambert Estate, where you'll be treated to a personalized tasting of their finest wines, in a wonderful setting When lunchtime rolls around, we’re serving up gourmet pizzas with all the toppings your heart desires! Share some laughs with your fellow Groovy travelers as you dig in and swap stories over a delicious meal. After lunch, we're seeking some chocolate as we head to the iconic Melbas Chocolate Factory, breath in the chocolate aromas and sample a choccie or two. After our sweet treat we'll take in some of the most spectacular views at *Menglers Hill Lookout*. Snap that perfect shot of the stunning Barossa landscape before we roll into Tanunda for the ultimate local experience. In Tanunda, you’ve got 50 minutes to live like a local – the choice is yours! Sample more incredible wines at Z Wines, where sisters Janelle and Kristen carry on their family’s five-generation wine legacy. Prefer a brew? Head to the Rhen Bier Brewhouse for a beer tasting and savour their locally crafted beers. If you're wined out, you can always just wander through Tanunda’s charming streets, popping into shops, grabbing an ice cream, or sipping a coffee while you soak in the village vibes. As the day winds down, kick back on the ride back to Adelaide – chat with your new mates, relive the highlights, or take a well-deserved nap. It’s been a Groovy Grape adventure to remember!

Here you will see the vast plains that make up the mid-north area whilst viewing contouring vineyards, rolling hills, and the palm tree-studded roads that lead to Historic Seppeltsfield Winery. Continuing towards Nuriootpa, your pilot will point out Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery, before flying down the valley floor over Tanunda where you can see the stunning old buildings of Chateau Tanunda and many old churches. Flying further south you will enjoy a view over Jacob’s Winery, home of some of the largest wine tanks in Australia each tank holding up to 1.4 million liters of wine. From there your flight takes you to the southern end of the Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall returning finally to our base in the Hoffnungsthal Valley.

Here you will see vineyards contouring the rolling hills, palm tree studded roads and the Seppelt Family mausoleum. From there you will fly over Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery before veering along the eastern side of Nuriootpa, around the Wolf Blass winery, and then marvelling at the view over the large limestone quarry near the town of Angaston. A little further on you will get a bird’s eye view of one of the most beautiful horse racing studs in south Australia – McEvoy-Mitchell Racing. From Angaston the view is an awesome 180-degree view of the Barossa valley and beyond, you can literally see for miles! As you descend into the valley towards Tanunda, your pilot will point out some of the historic buildings and settlements like Chateau Tanunda and Bethany. Beyond Tanunda is Rowland flat – home of the famous Jacobs Creek where you will view some of Australia’s largest wine tanks, some of which are up to 1.4 million litres each. From there we take you to the southern end of the Barossa, past Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall (the Barossa reservoir) before finally returning to the Hoffnungsthal Valley.
