This mountain/hike is no joke! It's quite a challenge from the start and doesn't really let up much on the way; however, it is very doable if you take your time and keep at it. I thought I was doing a terrible job and made it up just at the average time and I'm pretty sure my husband could have done it 30-45 mins quicker had I not been holding him back haha! Regardless, Lynette makes the hike very enjoyable and had it not been for the amount I was chatting, I may not have been huffing and puffing quite so much and could have gone faster lol. Lynette is very knowledgeable and shares all kinds of information about Table Mountain and Cape Town with you while on the hike and is lovely to converse with as we hiked. It was a very worthwhile morning and especially fulfilling once you finish on the plateau!!
Our guide, Fatima, was excellent!! I would never have been able to do this without her. I have a fear of heights, but I really wanted to do this. It was more challenging that I anticipated. This was more than what "hiking" I'm used to. This had some true climbing to it!! There were times I wanted to turn around and actually became frozen with fear. Fatima knew just what to say to me to help. The subtle little nudge of my foot, the standing right behind me....all what I needed to be able to make it to the top AND back down. I was worried about my husband behind me, she always kept me informed of how he was doing too. The views from the top did not disappoint either. Just stunning!!
It was a very nice route. Our perfect Fâtima guide. Helping at all times the elderly person who came with us, who had little practice in climbing mountains. Those who have vertigo like me, can stay a little lower. The view is equally beautiful. We went down at night with the lights that our guide gave us. Recommendable!!
Wonderful hike, despite the rain. Guide is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. A+
Awesome experience. Professional service. Best tour guide. Thank you Patrick
