The guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby in West Yellowstone in the order you were booked starting at 6AM. The guide will be driving a white Ford transit high roof van with a Yellowstone Hiking Guides logo. If you are staying outside West Yellowstone, you will be picked up at the West Yellowstone Visitor Education Center.

Join a local guide to spot bears, wolves, bison, pronghorn, and more. Relax in a comfortable van with huge windows, and take in all the wildlife the Lamar Balley has to offer.

Get picked up at 6:00 AM from your lobby. Start your adventure spotting wildlife along the Madison River in the early morning hours. Watch the sky change colors as the morning light hits the mountains. After scoping for wildlife on Dunraven Pass, enter the Lamar Valley for Yellowstone's most sought-after megafauna sightings. Enjoy a light morning snack and a hot drink of coffee, tea, or cocoa, while watching wolves through a high-powered spotting scope.

Find bears on the mountainside with your binoculars. Look out for herds of bison and pronghorn as your van gets to places where a bus simply can't go.

Enjoy a hearty picnic lunch in the world's first National Park. Stop to view wildlife at Mammoth Hot Springs before heading to Norris Geyser Basin, home to the world's tallest geyser.

Take in the sights of the Gibbon River on the way back toward West Yellowstone, stopping for additional wildlife sightings along the way.

The route showed us what must be the most beautiful views of the park! They were spectacular! We saw amazing wild life. Our guide had such an outgoing, enthusiastic, and kind personality. He may not have been quite as knowledgeable as some guides I have experienced but he did give us a lot of information.

Chris is an exceptional guide, so passionate about Lamar Valley and dedicated to assuring that we saw every animal possible. Baby bears climbing a tree as the mother fed off a kill, captured on video! Grizzly with cub, cinnamon bear, mountain goats, pronghorns, elk, sand cranes, eagle’s nest, hundreds of bison, and more. His delightful stories were filled with history and geology. He is the best guide I have experienced!

Très belle expérience, en tout petit groupe. Notre guide Marc était très sympa et connaît bien le terrain. Du coup, nous avons eu la chance de voir plein d’animaux dans le respect des règles de sécurité. Et c’est très agréable de faire transporter vue l’étendue du parc, les vans sont conçus pour un max de visibilité. Vraiment top 👍
