Full description
Our Flathead river rafting scenic tour gives you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the spectacular beauty of Glacier National Park and the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Aboard this 2-3 hour float trip an experienced guide will share interpretive information about the flora and fauna and history of the area while escorting you down one of the most pristine rivers in the world. Wildlife abounds on this stretch; you may see eagles, osprey, deer and maybe even an elusive bear or moose! The trip starts with a short 5 minute bus ride down to the put in at West Glacier. Guides will give a safety talk and help everyone get loaded in the raft. From there you will pass through a steep, walled canyon and admire stunning views of Glacier National Park. There is lots of opportunities to take pictures so feel free to bring a camera. Arrive at the path where the Middle and North Forks of the Flathead River converge to form the southern tip of Glacier National Park. Your guide will take the raft out of the water just past the confluence, at Blankenship Bridge. From there, it's about a 15-minute bus ride back to the office where you can look at pictures.

My boyfriend was not into rafting at all but I pushed for us to take the easy-down-the stream raft and he was so glad we did this. Our guide, local gal Moira, shared her detail knowledge of the wilderness such as why the stones are different colors, why trees are white vs black during a fire, and chat with everyone in a raft; all the while keeping us safe. The bus ride to the water was fun. We were warned we would not see bear but lots of birds. Well, on our trip we saw a BLACK BEAR AND Bald Eagle. BEST TRIP EVER! You know it's a big deal when the guides are excited.

We enjoyed a scenic trip down the river with a very informative guide. It was beautiful, peaceful, and there was time for conversation and pictures. I recommend you wear a hat if you are sun sensitive. You do not have to wear a helmet on this raft trip. There are some rapids but they are very mild on this part of the river. I definitely recommend this raft trip for anyone wanting an enjoyable, scenic trip. This trip is safe for children and seniors.

We had an awesome experience! Our guide (Hannah) was exceptionally knowledgable about the area and the history of the park. She was energetic and made the scenic trip memorable. If her mom reads this she wants her to know that she is really busy and she wishes she could call her more often. This was an awesome trip and would highly recommend her and the company.
