Amazing guide who was passionate about what he does and made us feel so involved in the tour. I would highly recommend this to absolutely anyone in Wellington, even if you’re not necessarily a fan of movies, there’s so much you can touch, see and experience.

I liked the activity but restaurations were going on (Feb 2023) and therefore it is not possible to see all the areas. Also, you won't be able to see people actively working on something. Some part of the tour was dedicated to the Thunderbirds, which was not that interesting for me, because I did not watch it, but it is nice to see the detailed miniatures. I found it very easy to get there by public transport, I took a bus and had to walk a little bit. From there, you can go to the Hobbit Hideout. Overall, this tour is a MUST if you are a LOTR fan.

It was all great to see and our guide explained everything well, but he mentioned things about the AI capabilities etc that caused a bit of stress to our youngest two grandchildren. 12 and 14 It was more information than I was comfortable for them to hear.
