Embark on a 5.5-hour guided journey to Martinborough, one of New Zealand’s most renowned wine regions. Departing from Wellington, the tour traces the scenic Hutt River through the Hutt Valley before ascending the picturesque Remutaka Ranges, with a stop at the 555m Summit for panoramic views.

Descending into the charming Wairarapa Valley, you’ll arrive in the boutique wine town of Martinborough. Here, enjoy exclusive visits to three of the region’s top wineries, where you’ll experience their welcoming Cellar Doors and taste a selection of world-class wines.

Poppies Martinborough: Sample a fixed menu of 5–6 handcrafted wines exclusive to the Cellar Door and online.

Moy Hall Wines: Enjoy 4–5 locally produced wines with vineyard views, served at outdoor or indoor tables depending on weather.

Te Kairanga: Taste up to 5 wines from the Te Kairanga and Martinborough Vineyard ranges inside a charming 140-year-old cottage Cellar Door.

We really enjoyed the tour. We visited 3 wineries. The first winery (Poppies) was okay but no real information on the vineyards and wine making. However, the second winery was more informative and the food was outstanding. The third winery was excellent so informative about the wine and the vineyard. Top Marks. We enjoyed The Palliser Wiinery very much.
