This was a great experience. Our guide, Lin was excellent in explaining the history of northern Thailand, the Hmong tribe, and Doi Suthep.
We had a great time visiting the mountain village and the temple. The village gives you some insights into the local coffee plantation. You can see some local housing on the way but you should also be prepared that there are quite some shops where they offer a mix of locally made but also some „standard“ souvenirs. Tasting the coffee was great though. Afterwards, we visited the temple where our guide gave us a lot of insights into Buddhist religion, which was further supported by the artwork in the temple. We also got some great views from the city from there. Our tour guide was super great and so helpful in answering all our questions. Can really recommend the tour!

Full description
Drive up the mountain road to Doi Suthep–Pui National Park to visit Doi Suthep Temple, a must-see cultural landmark in Chiang Mai. Our first stop will be the Doi Pui - Hmong Hill Tribe Village, where you can learn about their way of life by visiting the museum and exploring the village.
Next, take a short drive down to Doi Suthep Temple and follow in the footsteps of pilgrims by climbing 309 steps to the stupa on the hilltop (or take the included cable car). Learn from the tour guide as you explore this beautiful and sacred temple, which contains a holy relic of the Buddha. Enjoy breathtaking views of Chiang Mai City and its surroundings from the temple terrace.
