Doi Suthep is beautiful and a must visit. Our tour guide was a great story teller, had a great sense of humor and made the visit fun and informative, including a special blessing from a monk and a meditation. The visit to the tribe hill somehow felt redundant to me, we already visited a tribe in a day trip to Doi Inthanon, and unlike the other activity where we could learn much about how they live and see them in their day to day life, this tour focused on a 1 room museum (with a few tools and posters, so don't expect anything beyond that) and a visit to a market, very similar to many markets you'll visit in Thailand (so not sure how much it's worth the time). Consider combining Doi Suthep with a different activity.

We booked the morning tour. Visiting the hill tribe village is actually a big tourist market. The goods can also be bought at the night market. The museum in the village is interesting. Our guide is with us first to the village and then to the temple. It was therefore still quiet in the village and in the museum and the tour guide was able to give us interesting information in the museum. The temple is always well attended. Here our tour guide gave us really interesting information about Buddhism on the murals in the temple.

We were a small group (us and another couple) so it was very private. We started with the village and got a lot of explanations. It was still very quiet here, few tourists, which we really liked. The flower garden was very pretty and the coffee tasted fantastic too. The little museum could use a refresh. After that we went to the temple. Here we got a lot of explanations and were able to look at everything in peace. I would recommend this trip to everyone as you see a lot in a short amount of time.
