Our last day, we took the 3 hour tour, thinking it would be OK - it was fabulous! Just the right amount of walking, a bathroom with us, with a fantastic tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable and hilarious! Our only issue was trying to find the right tour bus, since so many take off from the same spot. Arrive more than 15 minutes early so you can find your bus! Our tour person at 10:30am April 16 was a lady around 5'4" so she held a neon orange baton in the air so we could find her in the crowds and it really was helpful. At the Abraham Lincoln Memorial, too many people to know where she was, but you could see that baton! She was also great with the many kids that were on the bus who at first was fussy and talking loud. She not only engaged them by having them participate in Q&A, she had them wanting to participate! I learned so much & had fun doing it! I hope next year we come back, we get the same guide and do the all day tour!

This was a really great half day tour. I have to give a shout out to our guide, Tyrone-he was excellent. He spoke clearly, gave excellent facts and even through in some great humor that my tween kids enjoyed. You could tell he really enjoys his job and was very knowledgeable. We saw all the places on my list-wish we could have actually stopped at the Jefferson memorial but understand why that is just a drive by, as keeping to the time constraints. The spring is when it’s the most crowded so be prepared that you might just walk by an area for a walking picture (FDR area) versus actually stopping to take it all in, but the tour does a wonderful job of giving you the important info and stopping at the important sites. My only suggestion is to maybe have the guides wear a bright color shirt because it could be possible to get lost from the group-but Tyrone did a great job at pacing and head counting etc. He also gave out his phone number in case of anyone getting lost.

My husband and I loved this tour! we learned a lot and took great pictures too. We took the 3hrs tour and it was enough to see the most important landmark in town but we felt like we should’ve done the whole day and keep seeing more great places that this town have to offer. The bus was very comfortable and clean + Kris was a excellent driver, also loved our guide Casey.. she provided good information and kept it interesting at all times. Definitely recommending this tour.
