Treblinka is one of the most notorious sites in the history of the Nazi regime. The site held an extermination camp and a labor camp, collectively covering 34 hectares. This day tour from Warsaw will bring the terrible history of this place to life.
What to Expect
Your tour begins with pick-up in Warsaw, and your English-speaking driver will take you to Treblinka (around one hour). Once there, you will visit the camp museum, explaining the organization of the camp and its history. You can then walk among the ruins of the penal labor camp, where around 20,000 inmates were held between 1941 and 1944.
You will hear the story of the 840 prisoners at the extermination camp who attempted to escape in 1943, and the horrifying details of the Nazi 'final solution' as it was enacted at Treblinka. The tour will also include lunch in a local restaurant before returning to Warsaw at around 15:30.
