Full description
On this unique trip through the legacy of Polish socialism, you will explore Warsaw in a Nysa 522, an original socialist-style van. You will be picked up from your hotel before starting the tour around the places in Warsaw connected with the socialist past, where you can experience this era in Polish history for yourself. The tour starts at <en> Plac Konstytucji</en> (Constitution Square), the first square ever to be built especially for the working people. Here you will feel the propaganda of the socialist era before heading on to the Ministry of Agriculture, where you will have the chance to learn about the utopian plans of the post-war city reconstruction. The next stop on the tour is at the Palace of Culture and Science, where you can learn about this gift from “Uncle” Stalin. You will then continue on to the very heart of socialism, the old seat of the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party. Great fun informative tour

We had a great time on our tour with Artue. Travelling in the old style van was fun and added to the experience. Artue was very knowledgeable about all areas of Warsaw's history and architecture and was a fantastic guide. The tour was well paced, with a number of differed stops, a really fun lunch in a traditional restaurant, a look inside the palace of science and culture with interesting facts, and polish vodka tasting at the museum of life in the communist era. Would highly recommend especially for those interested in Warsaws communist history as well as for anyone wanting a fun and interesting way to spend a morning in the city.

Very interesting and brilliant tour guide

Did this tour in june 17 and was very interesting, very informative and gave a great insight into what Warsaw & Poland was during the communist times (which wasn't that long ago!). Saw a lot more of Warsaw in general as would have done had we not done the tour. Our tour guide, Lucas, was brilliant!!! Full of very interesting stories and anecdotes and very amusing keeping us all entertained. He was obviously very passionate and patriotic about Warsaw and being Polish which shone through. The van was also "different". If there was a downside to the tour, I think it went on a bit too long. Skip the Communist museum and lunch and cut the tour to about 3 hours which would be more than sufficient to see everything. All in all though, it was well worth it and a great tour and brilliant tour guide. Highly recommend it.
