  • See all the major sites in Warsaw that are related to Jewish heritage
  • Learn about the history of the Warsaw Ghetto

Discover Warsaw’s Jewish past and travel back in time on this 3-hour bike tour. Learn about Jewish life in the city before World War II, the horrors during the time of the Ghetto, and the re-emergence of a Jewish community in modern Warsaw.
What to Expect
In 1939 Warsaw had a Jewish population that was second only to New York. With events surrounding World War II and the post-war period, the Polish capital lost its Jewish community and many material traces of its presence.

This 3-hour guided bike tour covers all the major sites linked to Jewish life in Warsaw.

Visit the busiest pre-war street of Jewish Warsaw. See the sites and memorials of the historical Ghetto, including the Miła bunker, Umschlagplatz, the Ghetto Heroes monument, the footbridge, and remaining fragments of the Ghetto wall.

During the tour you’ll come to understand the city’s Jewish past and the re-emergency of a Jewish community as well.

Warsaw is mostly flat so cycling is quite easy as well as being safe and hassle-free. If you can ride a bike, you can do this tour and you won't be tired! The overall distance is approximately 15 kilometers.
The participant confirms s/he can ride a bicycle. Drinking alcohol just before or during the tour is forbidden. If the guide responsible for the tour shall consider the participant to be unreliable or otherwise inapt for the tour (visibly unfit, drunk etc). s/he may refuse to accept the participant on the tour.
