Great to see the 3rd tunnel and the border!

Hostess/guide shiny was very seeet although I felt her knowledge was a little lacking in some areas. We paid extra to avoid the enforced shopping but still had to endure a stop at the ‘unification village’ which was effectively a service station with only a shop and cafe. We saw none of the village! I would rather have cut out that last stop and the train station and got back early. Otherwise the initial transport provided was good, the main shuttle bus did stick of urine though. The whole day was well organised and prompt. You don’t get much time in each place but you don’t really need long, I did expect more of a museum/exhibition of the history of the conflict and there was not one. Overall I would say book a shorter tour if possible and don’t expect depth of information from either the places visited or the guide. Still cool to have seen North Korea though

Interesting, not necessarily what I had expected...

My preconceived notion of what I would see when I visited the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) was that I would see the MDL (Military Demarcation Line), the place where the area where the South Korean and American soldiers face off with the North Korean soldiers. This is not the case, instead you you are given the opportunity to stand several stories up on a building that will give you a vantage point which will allow you to see the two villages, one North Korean and one South Korean. From that vantage point the MDL is not evident. Our guide was cheerful and enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge of the facts and history of the DMZ. The walk through the tunnel under the DMZ was interesting, but arduous.

really great guide with lots of interesting facts and history.

interesting stuff and very good experience in getting to know the history of the DMZ, but as with a lot of places its a factory for tourists, with lots of chinese tourist groups everywhere which can cloud the experience. People were jumping on the historical train and taking selfies and spitting, as well as singing and dancing which was quite disrespectful. Not people from this tour company specifically, but generally the place is a bit of a theme park now.

Really interesting and probably mostly because of our guide

Really interesting tour! I wasn’t sure to take this tour with the description of it and for just like go at the border to watch towards the North Korea, but it was super interesting and mostly because of our guide Kim! The explanations about everything he gave us was super pertinent!!! We really recommend this activity, it was one of the highlights of our Korea trip!

Our tour guide Mike was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited.

Overall the tour was great. Only giving a four star as they were at least 15 minutes late at pick-up and we waited almost 25 minutes picking up at another hotel for more passengers. I don't know the reason for the long wait, but we were pressed for time in all our stops -if we were on time, it would have given us more time at our stops.
