Full description
Begin with an informative tour of the Walvis Bay Lagoon and salt mines. Learn about the birdlife of the area before reaching Pelican Point Peninsula. Then take a short 4x4 adventure along the beach. Keep your eyes peeled for the Black-Back Jackal population that patrol the shores. The lighthouse indicates the start of the large seal colonies on the beach and in the water. Once the vehicles find a spot to park as to not disturb the colonies, the preparation for kayaking begins. Water-resistant clothing, flotation devices, and dry bags are set out for use while kayaking. The guides will ensure you are correctly dressed and fastened in the flotation devices before starting the safety briefing. Be assisted onto your kayak and launch out onto the water. The seals almost immediately become curious and move closer to inspect the kayaks. Spend the next 1.5 hours paddling up and down the shoreline between the seals, and when the season is right, dolphins and whales may also make an appearance. After kayaking, enjoy a small picnic lunch on the beach which includes coffee, tea, juice, rusks, and muffins. After sharing stories of your experience, make your way back over the peninsula to Walvis Bay. Final photo opportunities may arise along the way as the jackals play or the salt-pans turn pink in colour. A few more informative stops are made before reaching the meeting point.

We had a great guide Leon - patient, polite, interesting storyteller! Cats are simply magical, very playful and funny animals, they try to overtake you, jump out of the water and make real performances)) We also saw dolphins - quite large, on the water and under kayaks. At the end of the walk, a nice bonus in the form of a snack with coffee and cookies. For a walk they give out waterproof clothes, a warm jacket, a vest with a pocket and a dry bag. Extra things can be safely left in the car. Great adventure for your money!

very nice secluded place with a lot of animals; great explanations on the way to the kayak place, Gregg told us everything about the area and the animals, he also stopped again and again so we could take nice photos; And at the end there were homemade muffins, which was just great

Breathtaking tour! Always happy and recommended for everyone. First we were picked up at the port because we were traveling with a cruise ship. Then it started and after about 45 minutes we arrived at the seal colonies. We all got waterproof pants and jacket including life jacket and bags for our cell phone etc. We were so close to the seals, who obviously had fun chasing our kayaks. It is not very tiring and suitable for everyone. Many children were also there, which was absolutely no problem. After the tour we got coffee, tea and muffins which were delicious. Then it went back to the port. Super tour, was really fun!
