Wadi Mujib The most amazing breath-taking gorge in Jordan at 400 meters below sea level. The Wadi Mujib Reserve is the lowest natural reserve in the world, located in the mountainous landscape to the east of the Dead Sea, approximately 90 kilometers southwest of Amman. The 220 square kilometers reserve was created in 1987 by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature and is regionally and internationally important, particularly for the bird life that the reserve supports. It extends to the Karak and Madaba mountains to the north and south, reaching 900 meters above sea level in some places. This 1,300-meter variation in elevation, combined with the valley's year-round water flow from seven tributaries, means that Wadi Mujib enjoys a magnificent biodiversity that is still being explored and documented today. Over 300 species of plants, 10 species of carnivores, and numerous species of permanent and migratory birds have been recorded until this date. Some of the remote mountains and valley areas are difficult to reach thus offering safe havens for rare species of cats, goats, and other mountain animals. Nice excursion, the driver arrived half an hour early and kindly found us a place to have breakfast because it was too early in our hotel and he wasn't available. He drove and tried to interact with us but given my terrible English the exchange of words was fragmented. made a couple of stops to allow us to go to the bathroom and relax. We entered the Holiday Inn right on time where we spent our day between the sea and the swimming pools (about 4 hours). Floating in the Dead Sea is unparalleled, a fantastic experience with lots of of smeared mud. We ate at the rich buffet which was included then off, a short stop in a factory that produced Dead Sea cosmetics and another in Wadi al Mujaib, seen only from the outside because the trek would have taken too long. Fantastic and highly recommended

Great and memorable experience which I would recommend 100%! It was so much fun doing the hike and everything you need (dry bag, swimming vest and shoes) are provided at the entrance. My driver and guide Hassan was very welcoming and made me feel very welcome on my first day in Jordan! :-)

It was absolutely fantastic! Our driver Hafez was so kind, shared a lot of information about Jordan and really did his best to ensure that we enjoy the trip. Thank you so much Hafez and the team.

Unforgettable experience and a must do when you come to Jordan. The driver was personable and friendly and spoke perfect English. Absolutely recommended

To do absolutely! Pickup from the hotel where you will be staying, transfer to the entrance of the canyon and back! Easy but very impressive canyon!
