We'll leave Muscat towards Misfat Al Abriyeen, this picturesque village lies on a steep slope at the foot of Jebel Shams and consists of old homes and narrow streets, it has a falaj system for many orchards, date palms, and vegetables. It's worth spending some time walking around the village. From there we drive towards Wadi Ghul the village of Wadi Ghul 2000 years old located at the foot of Mountain Ghul and can be seen on your way to Jabal Shams, it has been abandoned by its inhabitants and no one remained in, it has been built of solid stones. From there we drive into Wadi Al Nakhar its beautiful sites, a spectacular view which derives its name from the local word (necrosis), which means the process of rock sculpture «erosion» as the water of this valley formed during the time periods. Wadi Al Nakhar is one of the deepest valleys in Oman because of its geographical characteristics, the great gap in Jabal Shams is considered to be the most important source of water since its large opening leads to valleys and reefs that form the valley of Al Nakhar. From there we drive up the Mountain. This mountain road drives up to the Jebel Shams Mountain (The Grand Canyon of Oman) 3009 Meters it's one of the most adventurous Mountains in Oman, offering exciting off-road experiences and fantastic views, we reach the canyon view which is 2000 meters we stop there and we enjoy the view and photo.

Next, you’ll visit the mountain village of Misfah to admire examples of ancient architecture, as seen in its stone houses. A paved road leads up to the village, and during the drive you’ll have views of traditional houses standing on the mountain, which looks like a turban atop the date palm plantation. People continue to live in these houses, some of which are built on large rocks. The availability of water has ensured the preservation of this thriving village.

Adventure outdoor activity, be ready at your pick-up location our tour guide will come to pick you up at 07:00 AM, it takes 3 hours to drive from Muscat to Jabal Shams (The Grand Canyon) our tour guide will make stops in between at the fuel station, so you can use the toilet or drink hot/cold drink whatever you desire, the first stop will be Wadi Ghul village 2000 years old located at the foot of Mountain Ghul and can be seen on your way to Jabal Shams it has been abandoned by its inhabitants and no one remained in, it has been built of solid stones, then we continue our driving to Jabal Shams, we’ll make a stop on the view point for some pictures, from the view point if you look down you can see the trail you going to walk, from the view point just short drive to trekking starting point, after reaching the starting point, we process trekking in the W6 trail that takes approximately 4 hours hiking, the Canyon edge offers spectacular views into the several wadis and stunning valleys below.

We depart Muscat to Nizwa, the old capital of Oman. We pay a visit to the famous Nizwa Fortress. Today, the fort is a museum that showcases the history of the fort and surrounding area. Walking through the fortress you get to see amazing views of the ancient town and the nearby mountains. This impressive fortress was a base used in the military to hold off the hardest attacks and sieges. Next to the fortress is the large Nizwa Souq, a local marketplace that offers a variety of goods including jewelry, pottery, fish, and meats. The list goes on! After, we take off to Al Hamra to visit the village where we get to experience how the locals create a lifestyle in the older times. After this quick tour, we move on to Misfah al Abryeen, a truly pristine village that nestles at the base of Jebel Shams. Here you will get to see the large Falaj water system that supplies water to the nearby vegetation. There are numerous marked footpaths throughout the village that is recommended to take your time and explore. From the village we drive up to Jebel Shams Mountain the Grand Canyon of Oman. The canyon itself is enough to lose yourself in wonder. Walking around, there is so much to see and be amazed by. Once late afternoon arrives, we depart back to Muscat.
