Full description
Spend 6.5 hours discovering the most charming and famous islands of the Venetian Lagoon. During this full day excursion you will be amazed by the beautiful surroundings of Venice, and learn more about Venetian life and traditions. Start your journey in a comfortable motorboat leaving from St. Mark's area, and move towards your first stop, the island of Murano (approximately 1.5 hours). Have the chance to visit a glass factory and learn how glass masters create their masterpieces with a glass-bowing demonstration. Take your time to explore the island: don't miss the massive Basilica of Santi Maria e Donato, one of the oldest Churches in the Venetian lagoon originally built in the 7th Century. Return to the motorboat and head to your second stop (approximately 2 hours), Burano island. Immerse yourself in its quaint and colorful houses. According to a local legend, Burano has its rainbow appearance thanks to the fishermen that lived there, who used to paint their houses in bright colors so that they could find their way home when returning from sea. The island is also known internationally for its rare artisan lace. Hop back on the motorboat, and ride to the last stop, Torcello (approximately 1 hour). Torcello was the fist settlement in the Venetian Lagoon, its history dating back to the year 452. Don't miss the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in 639. Take a selfie with the Attila's Throne in the background, an ancient stone chair where chief magistrates were inaugurated, or go up the Bell Tower and take a beautiful picture of the surrounding area. At the end of the tour, ride back to the point of departure.

I think it's a good option if you want to take on the three islands in one day. There is not much information given by the tour guide so you're basically just paying to get transported between the islands. You do get to see a blown glass demonstration in Murano.

The tour is really recommendable. Great value for money and well organized. Since you can explore the islands yourself, it is important to always be back on board at the agreed time. The ship is not waiting! On the ship itself, announcements are made again and again in different languages (I, Span, E, F, D) and some things are explained about the islands, sights, etc. The only point of criticism is that you only have 1.5 hours for Murano, including the glassblowing demonstration. That is definitely not enough to get to know Murano even remotely or to have time for shopping. Here, 2 - 2.5 hours would be desirable. You have 1.5 hours on Burano and 1 hour on Torcello. That fits. Despite the criticism about Murano, I can definitely recommend the tour!

A very nice trip well worth the money. Arriving at the point I asked where we should go and I was able to find it quickly. Lots of people who booked this tour so 2 boats. We had to be in the front every time to get a nice spot, but we managed. I'm very seasick myself but it didn't bother me at all after taking my usual Primatour. On the boat a woman who gave some information on the way to the islands. I personally did not find the sound very intelligible. On the islands I also thought that we had a short time, I would have liked an extra hour per island. For the rest it is worth the money because the line for the water taxi to the islands was incredibly busy and that didn't bother us!
