Built by the Austrian Empire in the 17th and 18th centuries, this fortress played a significant role in defending the middle European countries from Ottoman attacks. You will be able to walk through the fortress, pass through some of its gates, and see some of the interesting places from the top, like the City Museum, the old military barracks, and the clock tower. Enjoy the view over the Danube and the city of Novi Sad. As the second largest city in Serbia, with its typical Central European appearance and proud history of being a cultural and intellectual center in the Austro-Hungarian Empire which, it earned the nickname 'Serbian Athens.' See the Museum of Vojvodina and Dunavski Park, the largest green area in the city, the beautiful neo-Romantic Serbian Orthodox Bishop’s Palace, and visit the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of St. George from the 18th century with its invaluable iconostasis painted by famous Serbian painter Paja Jovanovic. Walk through the main street further on, enjoying the 18th and 19th-century architecture as well as endless rows of cafes and restaurants, and then reach Liberty Square - a central point in the city. Here, you will find the town hall, Roman Catholic Cathedral, Finance Palace, and the neo-classical edifice of the oldest city hotel, Vojvodina. You will then pass by the Serbian National Theater and reach the city synagogue, the beautiful Hungarian Secession-style building, one of the largest European synagogues still standing. Then, take a break for a traditional Serbian lunch (at your own expense), go shopping and enjoy Novi Sad, and, at the arranged time, get back into the vehicle and head back to Belgrade.

Depart Belgrade and travel towards the natural reserve of Fruška Gora, home to 17 active monasteries of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Learn about the region's wine industry at Sremski Karlovci town, where you will sample regional wine specialties.  Heading to the North, you'll enjoy the wide, colorful plain of the Vojvodina region. You will notice an isle which "spoils" the simple skyline and the flat morphology of the terrain. This is the Fruska Gora mountain where 17 religious gems of the Serbian Orthodox Church are hidden. Built as a pillar of Austrian defense from Turkish invasion, Petrovaradin fortress was never conquered, nowadays giving us a chance to enjoy the most amazing view over Novi Sad, to feel the energy of the most prestigious European music festival "Exit", and to take a photo with the „drunk clock". Move on to Novi Sad, Serbia's second-largest city and a melting pot of cultures thanks to its rich history on the border of the former Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman empires. Stroll along the historic Dunavska and Zmaj Jovina streets in the pedestrian zone and see the elegant City Hall. 1. Climb onto one of our horses and go on an unforgettable horse ride in the nature of Fruska Gora. Horse riding is a great way to get in contact with nature. Horseback riding is in itself therapeutic and when you ride in the beautiful nature, you will be blown away by the whole experience. The tour is performed at the own responsibility of the participants. 2. The Vrdnik Tower on Fruška Gora is the only guard tower in the Srem region in Serbia. It is assumed that the tower was built by the Roman Emperor Probus, while the historical documents first mention it in 1315. Until the arrival of the Ottomans, the tower had great significance, because the entire Srem could be seen from its top. After a few minutes of climbing you'll end up at the oval walls of the tower. It's a few meters shy of being 20m tall, and is cylindrically shaped. The view of the forests of Fruška Gora from up there is highly inspiring, and utmost impressive. 3. Prepare yourself for a little climb up a steep slope, after which you'll arrive to the great hall. The hall is 4m high and was made by digging out stones, most probably to be used for the Rakovac monastery nearby. Stone pillars hold the vault. The mine was closed during the thirties. There are steps clad in stone, so you can explore the inner chambers. The entire complex is gargantuan and unique to Fruška Gora. 4.
