Full description
First, you will cruise towards the 18th Century fortress of Lesendro. You will see breathtaking scenery with birds, especially cormorants and seagulls, but if you are lucky enough you will get to see pelicans as well, they love drying their wings on top of her walls, with the beautiful mountain of Vranjina and light blue sky in the backgrounds. After cruising near the fortress of Lesendro you will proceed inside the small and narrow channels that are surrounded by, as we like to call them, carpets of water lily flowers and reeds. This area is often called the 'safari' part of the lake. In this area if you are lucky enough, you will have the chance to even see some nests and baby birds. The boat will then cruise around three beautiful islands - Small Cakovica, Big Cakovica, and Lipovnjak. The boat will than proceed inside the breathtaking fjord Pavlova Strana, which is considered to be the most beautiful place on Skadar lake. It will lead you to an old fisherman's village called the river of Crnojević. Over there you will have around an hour to explore the village.  On the way back the boat will stop at a place surrounded by open water and rough coast and you will have extra time provided for swimming, so be sure to bring your swimsuit.

This is a nice cruise and I'm glad that we did it. The lake is beautiful and swimming in the middle of it is something we liked the most. Nonetheless, the village "River of Crnojević" (which is the end point of the 3-hour cruising) is absolutely not worth visiting - there are only 3 cafes where you can have lunch in case you manage to find a table. Additionally, the captain of our boat was not very engaging and informative, he gave us some basic information during the first 20 minutes of the cruise and then was silent most of the time (unless someone asked him questions).

Was a totally relaxed tour of the lake. Because the water was too low we couldn't go all the way up the river and the 6 hours turned into 3. The money has been refunded accordingly. A visit to the monastery and a refreshing swim at a water temperature of 27 degrees are only recommended. A glass of wine at the end...

This tour is a must have if you plan on visiting Montenegro. Our tour guide was Slavko. He was very easygoing, kind and funny and told us funny/interesting stories out of his life in Montenegro. We saw many beautiful places, had good talks, food and alcohol tasting. The tour was totally worth the price
