The tour is not a "tasting" tour, but a walking tour with a final tasting. Limoncello (as well as other products) are given so that various "samples" can be tasted to understand their flavors and quality. Walking Secret Food Tours Sorrento with tastings

Our journey begins in the heart of Piazza della Vittoria, surrounded by three charming hotels and offering one of the most breathtaking views of the coast. We’ll start by strolling through the cobbled streets of the old town, exploring its artisan shops and ancient eateries. Our first bite will be the delicious Potato Gateau as we meander through narrow streets leading to the scenic Villa Comunale, a small park with beautifully manicured gardens overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. Next, we’ll discover the connection between the legendary Caruso, Lucio Dalla, and Sorrento at a family-run trattoria that’s been passed down for three generations. Here, you’ll savor two iconic Sorrento dishes: handmade Gnocchi alla Sorrentina and Cannelloni, actually invented in Sorrento, all paired with a local glass of red wine. As we spot lemons everywhere, we’ll be inspired to visit the town’s oldest limoncello producer, where you’ll witness the process behind this famous liqueur and enjoy a tasting. We’ll then continue to the elegant Piazza Tasso, where we’ll step away from the busy streets to discover a hidden gem—a family-run shop offering a delightful taste of local cheeses fiordilatte and provola, along with freshly grown Sorrento tomatoes drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and one of the most beloved local dishes, Eggplant Parmigiana. You’ll also learn about the history and significance of lemons in Sorrento’s culinary traditions, with a stop at a local market to explore some key ingredients together and to try some local Lemon Amaretto cookies. To round off the tour, we’ll take you to a less touristy part of Sorrento, not far from the central station, where we’ll surprise you with our final Secret Dish.

I went on this tour of the historical town centre, with my teenage daughter, during our recent trip to Sorrento. Mario, was the perfect guide! A local to the area, he managed to deliver a tour, in just a couple of hours, which taught us much about the region, rich in history and culture. We had a very relaxed meander through the town, visiting many points of interest along the way. Mario also showed us the local art of marquetry, and talked about the lemons for which the region is famous for. The Limoncello tasting at the conclusion of the tour, felt a little rushed but there was no pressure to buy. However, I couldn't resist the lemon flavoured balsamic vinegar and biscuits, but when in Sorrento.... All in all, it was a fabulous way to spend our morning. The group was small which made it a more intimate experience. Thank you Mario! We learnt much about your beautiful part of the world, delivered with a passion and a love your city.

Travelling via boat to islands of Sorrentino and Capri was a good day spent in exploring Amalfi coast. You don't get any guides but only the rides from Naples to these islands and back. Sorrentino is a beautiful island, with rich history and great architecture, plus you have local brand shops. as for Capri it was a bit of letdown. The things to see are on the other side of the island and it might be mot enough time to see it. Plus the prices are to steep.

The tour was wonderful! I loved hearing about the history of Sorrento. The guide was very knowledgeable and also provided his recommendations of the best restaurants in Sorrento which was very helpful.

Amazing tour with Ciro today! Every step, every tasting, every sight, shop and story in Sorrento brought us huge happiness. The care Ciro has for his town is contagious. We enjoyed every moment!
