During this tour you can really relax and enjoy the views, do some really cool shopping and take in the real essence of “la dolce vita”. Positano can be considered the pearl of the Amalfi coast; it is petit and colourful with plenty of charm. Day and at night it is magical, by walking along the lanes and the stairways it is filled with local shops where you can buy souvenirs and handmade items such as sandals, clothes, and ceramics. The Amalfi Coast got its name from Amalfi, and was declared protected by UNESCO because of its mere beauty. Amalfi is also rich in history and traditions: it is one of the four maritime republics, in fact every 4 years it hosts a sea race with Pisa, Genoa and Venice and in the past it boasted the production of the famous Amalfi paper. It is now possible to visit the paper museum itself. Ravello is located on the beautiful Amalfi coast, but don’t be fooled as it’s positioned at 315 meters above the sea level. From Naples: Positano, Amalfi & Ravello

9. From Naples: Positano, Amalfi & Ravello

The coastal road begins after Sorrento, runs through Positano, the fishing villages of Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini and continues until it reaches the busy square of Amalfi, situated on the seafront with a port and a long stretch of pebbled beach. Head to Sorrento, along the famous "Costiera Amalfitana" or "Amalfi Coast." Pass through the Positano, descending the winding one-way road to the heart of the town — the busy central Piazza dei Mulini. At Piazza dei Mulini, continue by foot on the small pedestrian paths leading to the beach. These streets also lead to the cathedral and shops selling ceramics, lemons, shoes and “Positano fashion” clothing. Take a short walk back to the car and ascend the mountain to return to the main coastal road to Amalfi. In front of the port of Amalfi, there is the one and only bus station along the coast. Behind this square lies the main shopping street of Amalfi that terminates at the furthest and highest point of the town. Various bars and cafés line the street, in addition to shops selling limoncello, casual clothing, swimwear, gifts, basic groceries, and, of course, ceramics. Amalfi offers plenty to see beyond shopping: the most spectacular cathedral along the coast, the paper factory and its museum. A slow uphill drive along a very narrow road past several wineries and olive factories leads to Ravello, a rural village untouched by tourism, perched on top of the mountain cliff above Amalfi and Minori. Ravello is famous for its breathtaking views, natural beauty and ancient monuments in the gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. At the height of the season, these gardens are rich in sweet scents of blossoming fruits and flowers. There are many classical concerts held in the gardens of Villa Rufolo, located just off the main square of Ravello. Apart from the main cathedral in the square and a history museum in its basement, there are many other churches to visit; there used to be a total of 13 churches in the village. There are even a few small boutiques and souvenir shops tucked along the narrow arches of Via Roma.

Our driver and guide was David. There was another family along with us for the ride. David was excellent stopping at various scenic spots to give us time to capture the views. He explained the beauty of each place and as per his suggestion we got to spend about an hour each in Positano and Ravello and hour and half in Amalfi. Being off season at the end of December, the traffic was ok, and crowds also manageable. The weather was also excellent. Of the 3 cities Positano and Amalfi were excellent for the views and shopping for trinkets. Ravello was more quiet being off season, but the views from there were still excellent. Would highly recommend.

Super cool activity. I really recommend going through an organization to visit the Amalfi Coast and especially by this organization. You are guaranteed to do everything and see the most beautiful places in one day without the hassle. It was really perfect and beautiful, especially Positano. We spent 1h10 in Positano, 1h40 in Amalfi and 1h30 in Ravello. We also stopped on the roads to admire the scenery. Our guide Davide was super friendly and helpful. I recommend +++.

Aldo was great! He showed us a lot of things that weren't on the program. He gave a lot of explanations. The tour was in a small group of 6 and we had enough time to visit each city plus bonuses. Aldo took scenic drives and stopped at several viewpoints. He dropped us off closer to our accommodation than the scheduled return point.

Daily tour of the beautiful Amalfi coast. Well structured, it offers the possibility of having an overview.

Had a wonderful experience with the tour in the Almalfi. Really enjoyed it
