Full description

Your tour will begin as you meet your expert kayaking guide at the Sólheimajökull parking lot. From here, you will be equipped with a dry suit before being shown the basic techniques to manoeuvre in your kayak. These sit-on-top kayaks are extremely easy to steer, and no previous kayaking experience is required. Once on the kayak and you push off into the lagoon, you’ll be immediately immersed into a world of iceberg-filled calm waters, with breathtaking views of the Sólheimajökull Glacier, which is only able to be seen while on water. After a few hours of gliding along the stillness of the lagoon, you will head back to shore having collected some unforgettable memories.

This exceeded our expectations and was one of the best activities we did in Iceland!! We also did the glacier/cave tour and this was so much better bc it was very tranquil, very small group, we were basically alone in the lagoon while the glacier and ice cave walks are huge groups back to back. Our guide Jose took amazing pics of us, we weren’t rushed, we just glided around and we had lots of time to paddle right close to the icebergs and the glacier -truly amazing experience!!!

Une des plus belles excursions de mon voyage en Islande ! Nous étions 3 sur le lagon (mon copain, moi et le guide) et nous avons pu pleinement profiter de l’activité ! Faire du kayak au milieu du glacier était exceptionnelle, même sous la pluie : c’était une expérience unique ! La guide était géniale et nous a laissé profiter au maximum de cette activité
