The meeting point for this tour is at Solheimajokull Parking lot by the big yellow school bus. Please meet your guide at least 15 minutes prior to departure time. Look for the guides and car on arrival. Make sure you plan to allow enough driving time. We advise you to check out the weather and the road conditions before you leave. Please remember it's your responsibility to arrive on time.

  • In order to attach crampons to the hiking shoes, the minimum shoe size of the participant to join the tour is 35 EU, and the largest shoe size is 50 EU

One of the highlights of our trip to Iceland! The hike wasn't too strenuous, at no point did we feel we were being physically pushed but at the same time we covered so much ground. They took safety precautions serious, so at no time did we feel unsafe. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Our tour guide Daniel was fantastic. He had a wealth of knowledge on the glaciers and said he was happy for us to get as much from the tour as he felt the group was capable. You can tell Daniel is passionate about his job which only made our time on the glacier more exciting and informative. A great experience, one that definitely scratches the itch for an adventure feeling!
