This was an amazing experience. Our guide read the group well, kept our pace manageable, and had lots of stories and facts to share about the glacier. The cave was a highlight, but overall just standing on a glacier, enjoying some glacier ice water, and seeing the view from up there was all well worth it. My only warning would be that I saw this listed as both "easy" and "medium" difficulty on this site and the Troll site - I would definitely say it's more on the medium side with some hard spots. Not sure if really suitable for children under 13 - I'm short, but I had plenty of difficulty with some of the stairs carved in to the glacier that we had to climb up.

It was an amazing experience being able to hike up a glacier. There were 2 tour guides and my friends and I were thankful to have gotten the cooler guide who seemed to be much more interested in making sure we were having a good time and being able to do as much as possible. Having a ton of knowledge on the glacier and enlightening us with all the facts. Would definitely recommend this tour as everyone was very engaging from the very beginning! One of the best experience ever! It’s just spectacular and our guide Fabian did an excellent job looking after us and taking a group where there’s not much crowd so we can take awesome photos. He was also very fun and motivating! The view itself is just so surreal! Definitely a must thing to do when in South of Iceland! If you miss it, you miss Iceland! Thanks Troll expeditions for a wonderful tour!
