Had a really great time on the tour! My guide was Birkir, he was very knowledgeable and since I was lucky enough to have a private tour with him I could ask him all the questions I had on my mind! The ice cave it self was not quite as kristall blue as I had hoped for, but that is just nature and of course no ones fault ;) The tour was very well organized and I'd definitely do it again!

You get exactly what is promised. The ice cave itself is really small, and it takes at most 15 minutes to explore; however, it is expected, and it is also expected that it takes some 45 minutes to get to it. To compensate, the road there is spectacular and probably more exciting than the cave itself. So all and all it's a honest tour worth taking.

Although the weather was incredibly bad (it poured and the wind almost blew you away) we set off with our guide Sveinn. He told us right at the beginning that he didn't know what to expect at the cave because of the weather, you never know that anyway, that's just nature. Even the outward journey was extremely informative and fun, you learned a lot about the glaciers and the area itself. The walk to the cave is short and the cave itself was incredibly beautiful. The main focus was always on our safety, the guide checked the situation before the group went into the cave. For me one of the best experiences in Iceland !!
