What to Expect
Mozarthaus Vienna with Audio Guide
Mozarthaus Vienna presents the life and work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Located at Domgasse 5, it is the only one of Mozart’s apartments in Vienna that still exists today. The composer lived here in grand style from 1784 to 1787, with 4 large rooms, 2 small rooms, and a kitchen. The exhibition space covering 4 floors presents the life and work of the musical genius, with a particular emphasis on his Vienna years, representing the culmination of his work.
Your tour begins on the third floor of the building, where you will learn interesting details about Mozart’s life in Vienna: where he lived and performed, who his friends and patrons were, his link to the Freemasons, his passion for gambling, and much more.
The exhibition on the second floor explores Mozart’s music, while on the first floor, in the Mozart home, the exhibition focuses on the two and a half years that Mozart and his family spent here.
The museum shop and a concert hall complete the experience at the Mozarthaus Vienna.
