This tour was really informative and reinforced the horrible actions taken in time of war. Our guide of the Camp was excellent and refused to make excuses for the public or the Austrian Government of the time and told us how it really was not a version of the truth to make things seem better
Our trip was absolutely wonderful. It was filled with so much information from both our driver and the guide at Mauthausen. I went back and forth as to whether to do this excursion as time was limited, but in the end decided it was an important piece of history and juggled our schedule to include it. We were so glad we did!! It was so worth it. It is such an important piece of history that we must always remember. The stories and information shared….just wow. This was an experience that will never be forgotten!!!
