The guide was very friendly and knew a lot about Viennese wine. The group was a good size, not too big, which helped ensure everyone could ask questions and people got to talk to each other. The private cellar was very interesting but there is only wine on one level of the cellar so the other levels don't really feel part of the wine experience. Perhaps add some wine racks to the rooms where the tasting is taking place so it feels more like a wine experience?

Experience a Viennese wine-tasting session at a private cellar in the heart of Vienna. Unearth the roots of Vienna's viticulture and the 600 hectares of wine vineyards surrounding the city as you taste 3 excellent Austrian wines perfectly paired with tasty regional delicacies. Explore the city's deepest private and hidden wine cellars and learn about the rich heritage of winemaking in the region with your professional wine expert. Hear about the origins of local wine, which dates back to the era of the Roman Empire, along with the traditions that continue to this day. Choose from a classic 45 or 60-minute wine tasting with three or four wines in one hidden wine cellar or a 2.5-hour tour with a visit to three hidden wine cellars, each offering a unique experience with a different number of locations visited (please read option descriptions). Depending on your selected option, you will visit different private cellars in the heart of Vienna, each of which guards unsettling secrets and interesting stories about their former uses.
