Full description
Experience a ride on the famous Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel, a landmark of the Austrian capital and a symbol for the world-famous Wiener Prater. With its iconic silhouette, the Giant Ferris Wheel is a must-see attraction for all visitors to Vienna. A ride on the Wheel is just as important to a visit to Vienna as the Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, or the Spanish Riding School. A ride on this significant and fascinating structure provides spectacular views over the whole city. The Giant Ferris Wheel is a true cultural and architectural highlight for any guest in the city: you haven't really visited Vienna until you've taken a ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel and marveled at the breathtaking views over the roofs of Vienna! The Vienna Giant Ferris Wheel rotates at a speed of 2.7 kilometers per hour. A complete rotation takes just over 4 minutes, but only when the Ferris wheel has not stopped to let passengers on or off. More commonly, a ride takes between 12 and 15 minutes, during which time you can enjoy picturesque views over Vienna and the surrounding area, such as the hills of the Vienna Woods, the Danube, the Marchfeld, and the Pannonian Basin.

A wonderful place, especially in good weather. I was surprised by additional attractions inside in the form of a mural on the top of the walls, which presented the history of Vienna, as well as exhibitions of models depicting various historical events. Beautiful views. I'm glad I decided on this attraction.

I really liked it, inside the hall, before you get on the Ferris wheel, you can look at the cars that are equipped with models and tell a bit about the history of the wheel and the Prater. I think that's really nice. The drive is nice and you can get a good overview of Vienna.

When we arrived at the Ferris wheel, a long queue awaited us at the ticket center; I booked the ticket on site with Get your Guide for the same price and avoided a waiting time of at least 30 minutes within 2 minutes. Highly recommended, even spontaneously. Great view at the top; There are 12 people in the cabin.
