Our guide, Stefan, was polite and helpful and especially attentive to me as the only native English speaker in a group of native German Speakers. I had a few questions, and he checked with me several times to see if I was ok! To be honest, as a Doctor of Music with decent facility in German, I may have been better off on my own since there are so many other famous musicians' graves to visit than the ones we stopped at - the big ones, like Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms. Not to mention countless others in the arts. Next time I'll get a written guide and snoop around by myself! Still, Stefan was full of lots of interesting information and humorous quips!

This tour was really unique, too bad that it was over after 2 hours !!! Our guide was very eloquent, conveyed a lot of interesting facts in a fascinating way. You really got the urge to read historical information and visit the cemetery again in the near future and explore it yourself or let yourself be influenced.

Without the booked tour we probably wouldn't have gone to the central cemetery, which would have been a shame. It is really huge and imposing. If you are looking for some peace and quiet from the bustle of the city center, you can really relax here. The lady who led the tour really knew a lot about the personalities who are buried here. It was interesting.
