Full description

Embark on a boat trip along the Danube Canal through the historical and modern city of Vienna, once known as the “Vienna Water,” the “Vienna Arm," and the “Little Danube." Choose to indulge in a delicious lunch on the boat or enjoy the live commentary of a street art guide on Sundays. On this tour, see important buildings including the Uniqa Tower, the Urania Observatory, hotels and commercial buildings by Jean Nouvel, and the Media Tower by Hans Hollein.

Take a look at the Schützenhaus by Otto Wagner, the Ringturm, the Rossauer Barracks, and the waste incineration plant of Spttelau designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Choose to enjoy a 2-course lunch or schnitzel dinner during your trip. Below the lock, the boat turns around and heads back to the starting point. Let the new Vienna and its countless graffiti art pieces and trendy areas enchant you as they pass by. On a Sunday you can choose to have a street art guide discuss the graffiti art pieces.

Boat and arrangements were excellent with good onboard service. Unfortunately the scenery was disappointing, consisting of concrete and graffiti. I would not recommend the trip travelling with any provider. It doesn’t even fit into the ‘at least we did it’ category. Best avoided!

Very good tour - we opted for the Schnitzel which was delicious. Drinks were available to purchase at an extra cost. Service was slow and we were left trying to catch attention of the waiters throughout. There are screens displaying information but if you want a guided tour along the Danube this is not for you. In saying this, it was still very scenic and picturesque.

A very good couple of hours on boat as we were greeted very nicely at entrance and boat entrance as good a welcome . The service in bar meal area was superb and Lady waitress so charming and polite was a pleasure to be served by her. The cruise was gentle and very informative and was enlightened on many issues on history of this canal and surrounding areas. Excellent DAY
