On this tour you will immerse yourself in the history of Vienna. Learn more about the city and its history as you explore the picturesque streets that have shaped the character of Vienna since the Middle Ages. You will also hear many legends and stories along the way. Whether the Middle Ages, modern times, or present day, you can listen to entertaining and amusing stories, and learn important and interesting historical facts. Admire unusual buildings, narrow streets, and religious buildings, some of which have withstood the ravages of several wars. Learn more about the tragic history of Viennese Jews during the times of the world wars. Along the way you will see the highlights of the city including the Monument to Karl Lueger, the Museum and University of Applied Arts, the former Ministry of War, and the Austrian Postal Savings Bank. Stroll through the Greek Quarter and pass by the Jewish City Temple and St. Rupert’s Church. Your tour guide will tell you more about the old town hall, the Bohemian Chancellery, and Judenplatz with the Vienna Gesera. On your way down Kurrentgasse, past the Graben and the Pestsäule, you will reach Kohlmarkt. Learn more about the famous Demel pastry shop and the Große Michaelerhaus, and admire the old Burgtheater. This tour continues on from Part 1 and Part 2 provided by the same tour operator. The tour provides additional information about the history of Vienna.

Schöne Einblicke in die Altstadt

Leider haben wir am Schwedenplatz den Anschluss verloren und haben daher den Schluss nicht mehr mitbekommen. Aber was wir angesehen haben war sehr gut - allerdings für Menschen mit Behinderung nicht geeignet.
