On the way to the city of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's birth, you will be able to absorb the astonishing beauty of the Salzkammergut, an area where Emperor Franz Josef I once spent his holidays, full of mountains and lakes and a UNESCO world heritage site. Arrive just in time for lunch.

A tour around the old town will show you all the most important sights of this noble city, seat of the archbishop-princes. You will take in the Cathedral, the Festival Theater, and St Peter's Church and graveyard. There, you will find the grave of Nannerl, Mozart's sister. Naturally, you will also visit the archbishops' residence and the house Mozart was born in.

After that, you will see some of the places where The Sound of Music was filmed - for example, the Pferdeschwemme, or Horse Well, famous from the song "Edelweis", and the Mirabell Palace, where "Do Re Mi!" was filmed, with its beautiful views of the Hohensalzburg fortress.
