The "Donatello" and "Van Eyk" exhibitions were superbly designed. There is nothing to complain about. I live in St. Veit ad / Glan. What bothers me is that their phone in the shop is not picked up over 2 hours before the museum closes. I've tried 30 times. Last Wednesday I was personally at their shop and personally experienced how they reacted to a ringing phone with skilful ignorance.

So much historical art that you can't take it all in in a day - not without a coffee and apfelstrudel break upstairs in the restaurant! The exhibition seems to go for ever especially if you look at everything that is in there - from about 400AD to the 19th century. Give yourself at least a half day and more if you want to see the art exhibiton upstairs! Beautiful exhibition and building.

I visited the museum in half a day of the tour. Thanks to the ticket reservation I made the night before, I was able to enter without lining up, and I couldn't print the voucher because of my travel destination, but I am grateful for the kindness at the reception. (Since there is no special window, please tell the person in charge at the entrance and let them go to the general reception in the hall.) Also, the Japanese guide rented out in the hall has a long and polite explanation for each work, and it is very deep to learn. I was able to spend time. We recommend renting a guide for Japanese people! You can take an elegant break at the on-site cafe, and if you have a lot of time, you can have a memorable experience. (Anyway, there are a lot of works, so it may be a waste if you have limited time.) The staff are friendly and kind to the wonderful paintings and architecture, and I definitely want to visit again.
