We loved our trip to Hallstatt! The tour started promptly and was well organised. It is a long journey however you do get break at a service station but just be prepared you will be on the coach for quite a while. It took us roughly 4 hours to get there… Our guide was very nice and informative and took really good care of us from start to finish. Hallstatt is absolutely stunning and we were given 3 hours of free time some may think that’s a lot considering Hallstatt isn’t that big but since it took us a long time to get there it was nice to have quite a substantial amount of time to relax, take in the surroundings and grab something to eat and not have to rush. We then met back with our guide to board the boat that would take us back to the coach on the other side of the lake. We had an amazing trip and will never forget it.

Full description

Depart Vienna and journey by bus into the Austrian Alps to explore the Unesco World Heritage Site of Salzkammergut, famous for its scenic lakes, limestone mountains and historic castles. Continue to the beautiful village of Hallstatt on the Hallstätter See and learn more about the development of the village and its salt production industry, dating back to prehistoric times.  Next, climb aboard a boat and cruise across the tranquil waters of the Hallstätter See (only in the summer). Get some free time to explore the village on your own before making your way back to Vienna.

The trip was really nice and Stefan was a really nice guide. Enjoyed it a lot. Only bummer was that the ski-lift was sold out, but otherwise a very beautiful city to explore
