Full description

Every Sunday between May and September, you have the opportunity to take a ride on the luxurious MS Kaiserin Elisabeth II, traveling from Vienna to the Wachau Valley. Enjoy the navigation and the beautiful view of the surrounding villages, meadows and forests as you sit back and relax. During your two-hour break, you can stroll through Dürnstein and explore the quaint village.

The ship has a well-equipped onboard restaurant which allows you to choose from a wide range of breakfasts, lunches, and snacks. All meals are freshly prepared for you on board and the emphasis is placed on regional cuisine.

It was a very good day trip. Staff were helpful and friendly. Although the listing states that beverages are not included it is not stated at meal times etc when staff offer drinks so just a wee reminder that you will have to pay for these by the end of the trip. The 2 hours in Durnstein was enough for a little wander but as it was a Sunday not all places were open.
