What to Expect
Discover Slovakia’s historic capital on a full-day sightseeing tour with bus transfers from Vienna. Departing from Vienna in the morning, drive the approximate 50 miles (80 kilometers) east along the Danube to Bratislava city center. Catch views of the wooded Danube-Auen National Park on the opposite side of the river.
Upon arrival in Bratislava´s city center, try some of the city’s notable coffee and cake at a delightful coffee shop. Then, meet your local guide at Midday, in front of the Radisson Blue Carlton on Hviezoslavovo namestie.
Stroll through the historic center, home to landmark buildings such as St. Martin's Cathedral, as well as the futuristic tower of Nový Most. Go to Hlavné námestie to admire the 14th-century Town Hall and Maximilian Fountain. Pass the Slovak Theatre, and the gates of the Old Town, leading right into the courtyard of Bratislava Castle.
In the afternoon you are free to explore the city on your own, or to shop for traditional handicraft items in the square. The bus departs Bratislava for Vienna at 17:05, giving you plenty of time to stroll at leisure.
