This was a three hour ride around central Vienna. The guide stopped at many of the city's significant sites and gave us a great overview of historical Vienna and today's Vienna. Her explanations were both understandable and entertaining. The pace of the ride was easy, and the guide made sure that no one was left behind. Much of the ride was on dedicated bike lanes or where there was little car traffic, so there was never any feeling of being unsafe. It did rain while we were on the tour, but the guide had us take shelter in a little cafe on the Judenplatz where we had hot drinks. Luckily the rain subsided after about 15 minutes and we were on our way. My wife and I agree that this bike tour was a highlight of our time in Vienna.
Enjoyed our time with this tour. Getting around with a guide to fill in the history made a difference. We enjoyed being active instead of sitting on a bus. This tour is an easy ride for all fitness levels. We had a senior on the tour and there was no problem for them to ride with the pack. There were enough appropriate stops to take photos and hear about the history of important landmarks. Please if you enjoyed your tour, tip the guide. We were the only ones to tip on this tour. This may be due to cultural tipping habits of local countries.
Well organised. Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide (Thanks Marco). Bikes were better than i expected, and appropriate for this trip. The gradient was gentle / mostly flat and the distance (about 24 km over the course of the day) was just right for a leisurely group ride. Our small group ranged in age from early 20s to 60 - all infrequent cyclists. The activities of winery visits, free time exploring the village, and lunch, interspersed with riding, was well balanced and well paced. Thanks for a very enjoyable day.
All in all it was a great tour. Getting to know the city by bicycle gives you an opportunity to see a lot in a rather short period of time. The trip was quite relaxing, entertaining and interesting. Good quality bikes, professional guide. Highly recommend!
The e-bikes worked great and we felt like we had a good overview of the city and its history. The guide related a few too many personal stories about her life for our taste. Overall a fun way to get a good feeling for Vienna.
