On this 2-day eco-certified excursion in the Grampians you’ll experience aboriginal rock art and marvel at the spectacular scenery from lookouts atop these ancient mountains. Visit the Brambuk Cultural Centre, learn about aboriginal culture, and more.
What to Expect
The Grampians are often overlooked by visitors to Victoria, but on this 2-day tour you’ll find that they provide an experience not available anywhere else.
Take a look through history and see the art of indigenous Australians. Aboriginals have inhabited this region for as long as 32,000 years and 70 percent of the indigenous rock art of Victoria is found in the Grampians. To date over 100 rock art sites have been identified.
As you gaze out from mountain lookouts you’ll see the magnificence of the region that stretches before you. Hear the history of the Grampians and the surrounding towns. During your excursion you’ll see waterfalls, kangaroos, and native bird species.
Your guide will tell you about the early settlers and the struggles they had to survive. Learn about the culture of local aboriginals and their beliefs.
