Victoria Falls Town

Board this dinner cruise and delight in the magical colors of the Zambezi River at dusk and enjoy a truly unique four-course dinner. This journey is ideal for food and nature lovers wanting it all. Savor the splendor of the setting sun as you embark from the Pure Africa Waterfront and head off into the evening. After your favorite drink is poured, you’ll be ushered to your set table where a delectable series of dishes freshly prepared on the boat and paired to premium drinks are served. Silhouettes of elephants against the sunset and hippos noisily grunting in the distance will most certainly add to the ambience.

At the moment you arrive, you'll be ceremoniously dressed in a chitenge (sarong), before being welcomed by traditional dancers and a mini face paint. Ladies are given dots on their cheeks to signify the beauty of African women, while men receive stripes defining the warrior look of African men. Then, you'll be ushered into the main enclosure, where your senses will be bombarded by the tastes, sights, and sounds of Africa. During the feast, the entertainment incorporates mbira music, traditional dancers, a local folk storyteller, a fortune teller, a hair braider, elaborate face painters, and souvenir sellers. But the highlight of the evening’s entertainment is the renowned, interactive drumming show beginning after dinner. Guests are each handed a djembe drum and given the opportunity to participate in the drumming show by learning a few rhythms. After the drumming show, you'll be invited to the dance floor to groove to the beat of the Africa drums. The evening is capped off with a group of a cappella singers serenading you with personalized, sweet melodies at your table. The meal begins with a shared starter platter, featuring mouth-watering specialities such as skewered peppered impala, smoked crocodile tail, and corn ciabatta and "nyimo" fritters. Then, make your way to the campfire for the chef’s freshly made soup of the day served with croutons and homemade bread. There is also a salad bar, featuring a variety of different offerings made from local organic produce, including sweet potato, legumes, nuts, and seeds, complimented by greens, dressings, and assorted breads. The main course features a braai (barbeque) buffet feast including pork fillet, beef, borewors, marinated chicken, game meatballs, and a spit roast-of-the-day served with peanut butter rice or sadza (a thick maize-meal porridge which is the local staple diet) and a variety of sauces. You may also tempt your taste buds with a traditional hunter’s stews or try the fish, Zambezi bream and kapenta (freshwater sardine). Vegetarian dishes include a vegetable stir fry, the chef’s daily pasta dish, homemade garlic bread, and roast potato wedges. Halal meals are also available. The adventurous may wish to try a local delicacy, a sautéed mopane worm, for which you will receive a certificate as proof.

Botswana’s Chobe National Park, located on the banks of the scenic Chobe River, is home to one of the largest game concentrations in Africa. Experience the thrill of a game drive on the lookout for elephants and lions that populate the park. Explore Chobe National Park, One of the best game-viewing experiences and a must-do safari tour once you travel to Botswana. It is renowned for its variety of wildlife and particularly the large herds of elephants that can often be seen in the park and along the Chobe River. The tour departs daily from Victoria Falls town [Zimbabwe] & Livingstone town in Zambia to the Chobe National Park in Botswana. Upon pick up, Your guide will drive you about 1 hour to Kazungula border between Zimbabwe and Botswana, You will do our immigration formalities. After lunch, you will board our open 4X4 safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park where you will have the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of wildlife. The day depends on guide knowledge of game, you can start with a game drive in an open 4 x 4 vehicle and finish with a boat cruise or vice versa. This depends on animal movement on the particular days.

Soon after the Helicopter Short Flight, you will be transferred to the Lookout Café for lunch, here you will enjoy lunch seated at the the edge of the Batoka Gorges with magnificent views of the river, overlooking the Victoria falls bridge and the luxury Victoria Falls Hotel. Guides are also very happy to assist you with photographs whilst visiting all the points of interest. Once done with lunch you will be taken back to the hotel and probably pass through the Big Tree were you will take Pictures under the biggest and most oldest Tree in the region !

Start your adventure with a pickup from your hotel in Victoria Falls. As you take off, experience a magical moment as you start to exit the helipad. Feel a sense of awe as you start to see the waterfalls inching closer. Soar over the upper Zambezi River, enjoying views of the falls from your window, and capture the falls from the left and right side as the helicopter completes its flips over the falls. Soak in the natural beauty of the Batoka Gorge on the Zambezi River as you fly downriver through steep cliffs. Fly over a long island on the Zambezi upstream from the falls, towards the Zambezi National Park, home to a wide variety of wildlife. Keep an eye out for elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, giraffes, kudus, and many other animals as you head back to the helipad. After the flight, enjoy a convenient drop-off at your lodge.

Relax as you are taken by minibus across the border into Zambia to the Royal Livingstone Hotel for a detailed safety briefing before a 5-minute boat ride to Livingstone Island. Your guide will navigate through the Zambezi River current heading towards the column of spray rising from the Falls. Once you get to rocky Livingstone Island, the staff will welcome you with a traditional African energy drink. Your guide will take you first to the eastern side of the island to view Rainbow Falls and the Horseshoe.  Discover the island’s western side to see the Main Falls, where you’ll enjoy the magnificent torrent of water cascading over the basalt edge of the falls.  This unique view of Victoria Falls offers a perspective completely different from that of the Zimbabwean side of the canyon. As the morning sun hits the mist rising from the falls, expect to see stunning rainbows. Have the chance to swim in one of the following pool at the edge of the Victoria falls depending with water level Devil's Pool, Rocky pool Angels pool or devils cataract pool a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your guide will lead as you swim upstream in a slow current. Sit at the edge of the falls , gazing at Victoria Falls, as immense water torrents flow just feet away.  When you return to Island, fill up on a breakfast before your journey back to your hotel.

Relax on a riverboat sipping on your beverage of choice watching the sun set over the African jungle. See all the the dusky gold’s and vibrant purples of the sunset reflected in the surface of the water. Catch the last moments of the day and the first moments of the evening, when owls emerge, crocodiles slip into the water and tiny silver stars blink in the sky. Once the boat departs from the jetty you will be taken down river towards the falls, spotting hippos, elephants and crocodiles along the way. You then head upstream and around the many islands in the middle of the river, which stretches up to 300 meters across. After taking in all the magic and seeing the sun set behind Zimbabwe over the plains, you make your way back to the jetty where your journey started. Enjoy many great photo opportunities against the often-spectacular African sunset.

Enjoy pickup from your Victoria Falls hotel then head to the waterfront of the vibrant Zambezi River where your vessel for the evening awaits. The tour begins with a friendly greeting from the staff and a welcome drink as you find your seats in the modern lounge and dine on freshly prepared canapés. The cruise then sets sails upstream along the mighty Zambezi River, the fourth longest river in Africa. From the boat, admire the array of wildlife that flourishes along the river and watch out for elephants bathing on the riverbanks, crocodiles lazing on the water, and hippos submerging here and there.
