Full description
The day begins at 8:30 AM with hotel pick up and an air-conditioned transfer to the largest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls. The 100-meter chasm filled with rushing water will surely take your breath away. Wander the area and take the perfect shot and understand how this World Heritage Site earned the name Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders). Next, learn the story of the explorer and missionary, David Livingstone, who named the Falls for the Queen of the British Empire and carved his name into a Baobab tree at the site in 1855. An international tourist attraction, this giant tree is estimated to be around 2000 years old.  After exploring the falls, you may choose to return to the hotel for a relaxing lunch on your own or request that your guide recommend local restaurants near the falls. Regroup at 2:30 PM and be amazed by the local village, where life continues as it has for centuries. Travel back in time and experience a way of life long since forgotten in the modern world. Participate in some daily tasks at the village and meet and chat with the locals.  End the day with dinner and a show. Try a variety of game meats and traditional Zimbabwean dishes while enjoying music and a traditional dance show. At the end of this 3-hour experience, hotel drop-off is provided.
