Empress guests must wait near the front door of the lobby area. An Island Time Tours van will come into the circle driveway. Amazing Tour with a Great Guide! We had a wonderful time on the Victoria, BC: City Tour and Butchart Gardens Combo Tour on October 16, 2024. Our guide, Mark, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience unforgettable. The city tour was insightful, and Butchart Gardens were stunning. Mark’s expertise really added to the experience. Highly recommend this tour!

I want to warn folks that even if your hotel is listed as one of the pick up spots you may be told something different the night before your excursion. I stayed at a hotel on the list and then was told the night before that I needed to walk to another hotel to meet up with some other members of the tour. When I mentioned I was in a boot, I received a text agreeing to meet me at my hotel. Please note, that should not have been the case since my hotel was one of the pick up spots listed. Also when I mentioned I was in a boot I was invited to cancel since it was a walking tour instead of being told like I was when the tour guide showed up, that Boutchert gardens offers free wheelchair use. I found this concerning that I wasn't informed of that by the people communicating about the tour details.

I can't express how disappointed I was with this tour. I thought I was purchasing a 5 hour tour but it was only 3 hours)an hour on each end for picking up passengers). When Joe arrived, while friendly enough, his zipper on his pants was undone. Not professional at all. The 3 of us were all Canadian, so conversation was free flowing. However, after picking up the rest of the guests, things took a turn. The sarcasm and Dad jokes increased. I wasn't expecting to see so many parking lots, the greatest gift to Seattle (the sewage treatment plant) and the best public washroom in the city. I also never expected him to call PetroCan Pierre Elliot Trudeau ripping off Canada. Nor did I expect to learn of the Tweed curtain between Downtown and Oak Bay, their unwillingness to have McDonalds because they attract the wrong type of people or that you develop an English accent living there. I couldn't ditch this tour fast enough and made my own way back to my hotel by transit. Horrendous experience!
