Full description
This 3-hour whale-watching tour boasts sighting just about everything there is to see, including groups of predatory transient orcas and breaching humpback calves. Recently, a guest proposed to his girlfriend as a pod of killer whales cavorted in the background! Get suited up in a cozy cruiser suit, ensuring your comfort and safety for the duration of the trip. The tour departs from Victoria’s beautiful inner harbor. Your ride on one of the zipping Zodiac-style boats will be nearly as exciting as seeing the whales. Each of the boats seats 12, and there are great views from every seat. On the way out of the harbor, the boat passes the historic Victoria coastline. Once out of the harbor you’ll see a variety of different species of sea life, including orcas, humpback whales, grey whales, minke whales, porpoises, dolphins, sea lions, elephant seals, otters, and bald eagles. Every tour is guided by a Transport Canada-approved skipper, who will provide information and commentary on all of the wildlife you see.

Our driver was Dustin. He was very professional, and knowledgable and we felt very safe in the boat. The boat ride itself was tons of fun, but Dustin took us to see sea lions, and had three sightings of humpback mothers and calves! It was truly amazing. I will never forget it!

-We had a young but very good and committed boat driver in Jasper. -We had booked the evening tour (from 6 p.m.), you should definitely be there at least 30 minutes in advance. Because you get the safety instructions and the full body suits. -We started with the Zodiac boat +/- 1 hour to the observation point for the whales, you should also wear thick clothes in warm weather, because the boat goes very fast and it pulls you can also get wet. -We saw humpback whales and Jasper took us close to the recurring humpback whale for over an hour. While the whale was diving he gave us a lot of interesting information about the marine mammals. Conclusion: well organized trip with success! Highly Recommended!

A super nice and worthwhile trip

I can absolutely recommend this trip !!! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the equipment you get (cold protection suit, cap, gloves) are top and also necessary. The trip is very pleasant and I have never seen so many animals on any tour (2 orca families, bald eagles, otters and many seals). It is also not driven too close to the animals. As soon as an orca is in sight, the engine is switched off and with a little luck (as in our case) the animals come closer to the boat.
