From Fes: Half-Day Trip to the Moulay Yacoub Spa Village
The thermal village of Moulay Yacoub gets its name from Abou Yacoub Al Achkat Bahlouli, a man famous in the region for his kindness. Located 21 kilometers (13 miles) northwest of Fes, it boasts international fame for its sulfur-rich spa waters, which are pumped from 1,500 meters (4,921 feet) below the ground and reach temperatures up to 54ºC (129ºF). Spend half a day relaxing at this thermal complex. Begin the trip with pickup at your hotel or riad in Fes, then drive to the thermal complex. Once there, enjoy the many different services at your disposal. This experience has two options, though both include a thermal pass that gives you access to the thermal pool and the vaporarium (sauna). With the Ancestral Hamman pack, indulge in a traditional hammam (Moroccan steam bath) and exfoliating massage on top of your thermal pass. Alternatively, select the Volcanic Cares pack to replenish yourself with a special exfoliating massage with hot stones and Vichy salts from the area. At the end of your experience, you’ll be taken back to your hotel or riad in Fes.
