Full description
Save precious time and skip the long lines to enter the grand amphitheater of the Verona Arena, one of the most popular attractions in the city and one of the best-preserved monuments from the Roman Empire. Look beyond the iconic pink marble façade of the monument on Piazza Bra and hear stories about the gladiators of the Roman Republic. Learn about the famous operas that have been performed at the arena over many years. Built in the 1st century AD from pink-tinged marble, the great theater survived an earthquake in the 12th century and is still the city's favorite concert venue for operas. Listen to little known stories that reveal facts normally concealed in the mighty stonework.

Fábio ( I think is his correct name!) was great! Fun sense of humor and very informed, very professional and cute! I just worry he is going to trip one of these days and break his head open... he walks backwards all the time! I would highly recommend him.

The tour of Verona arena was extremely good , with are guide meeting us on time Are guide first took us to the outer perimeter of the area , explaining the history of the arena We then sent inside, and I have to admit to being quite disappointed inside the arena There is a permanent seating structure, which covers the bottom 3 meters of the arena , and seats placed on at least half of the arena There was also a stage being erected for the upcoming opera season in Verona I would have liked to seen the arena without these items added, but was still a interesting tour , with some good photo opportunities

My husband and I were not disappointed and would recommend the arena to anyone! We were met by Benedetta who was our guide and she was extremely knowledgable, told us all about the history of the arena and answered questions from the group. It was a fantastic place to visit! Rachel and Matt
