Full description

Meet the guide/driver in the city center, take a seat in a comfortable air-conditioned van, and start to enjoy this relaxed half-day tour in the Valpolicella wine region. During the journey, your guide will tell you about the local wines and the Valpolicella valley. Then, arrive at a beautiful winery, located in the heart of Valpolicella. Here an expert sommelier will show you the wine cellar and explain the secrets of production and show you how the wine is kept. Afterward, sit around the table to taste some chosen wines, including the great Amarone.

After taking some beautiful pictures in the gardens and vineyards, get back on board the van and make your way to the second winery for another tasting. After the tasting, you'll head back to Verona.

We were picked up right on time at the meeting point. A half hour drive to the first winery. Serena tells us all about the wine and the area. Very nice. The first winery is very big and professional. Friendly host! They let us taste no less than 7 wines and clearly told the stories behind them. The next company was almost the opposite in size. A nice small family business with a lot of passion and fantastic wines! Tasty snacks and nice stories. A great excursion. It seems very expensive at first, but because of that you come with really interested people and a very nice experience!

An amazing visit to two family run vineyards. Stefano was our guide for the afternoon. He gave us lots of information about the Valpolicella region as he drove us. We stopped first at Farini where Sylvia guided us from the vines through to the bottling. Then we tasted 6 different red wines. All equally delicious. These were accompanied by copious amounts of meat and cheese. Next we visited Villa Borghetti where we were again shown their winery. During the tasting of 5 wines we were given meats, cheeses, polenta, chocolate and biscuits to accompany each different red. And all of this in a 16th century cellar. Highly recommend this trip. Worth every cent.
