It was an amazing experience to see the opera in this amazing venue! We saw Aida and it was so atmospheric! Picking up the tickets was really simple, we got there for about 6.15pm. There were two screens in the top corners with English subtitles if you want to read them along side. Definitely bring a small cushion when you’re on the steps as it’s a hard surface to sit on!

Our evening was wonderful. Our guide did a great job walking us around Verona showing us the sites. The opera was fantastic. However, beware, the stairs are not for the timid. But overall a fantastic evening.

The Opera is a must see experience if you are anywhere near Verona. We got the cheapest tickets and sat on the stone steps with the help of a cushion (definitely bring or buy something to sit on!). The Opera won’t start until sundown so 9pm in August and is around 3 hours long. We didn’t stay for the whole thing because of having to get up early the next day but we enjoyed the experience immensely and would go again if we were ever near.
