The Hanbury Botanical Gardens are located on the promontory of Capo Mortola (Ventimiglia) a few kilometers from the French border on an area of about 18 hectares. The promontory enjoys an exceptionally mild climate; the existence of different microclimates has favored the planting and acclimatization of essences from all over the world.Created by Sir Thomas Hanbury in 1867, the gardens have become one of the most important acclimatization parks in the world. In 1960 the Italian state purchased the complex from the heirs, which, in 1962, was entrusted to the International Institute of Ligurian Studies. In 1979 that institute gave up the onerous task of post-war reconstruction, and later, in 1987, management was permanently entrusted to the University of Genoa.

Your guide will take you along the Riviera between Italy and France to arrive in Menton, a French border town known as the lemon capital. Discover the very colorful old town and its charming streets then take advantage of free time to enjoy a good lunch in a local restaurant (Lunch price not included) and taste the famous limoncello! Continue your day by discovering the glamor and luxury of Monaco. Take advantage of the rock to discover the princely palace square, the old town and the cathedral where Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly were married. End the tour with Monte-Carlo and its Casino Square where the rich and famous like to go with their superb luxury and sports cars. Before leaving Monaco, you will of course take a complete tour of the Formula 1 circuit which takes shape in the heart of the city.

-Leaving Nice in the morning, we would enjoy a ride along the coastal roads and their beautiful panoramas all the way to Menton, the last French town by the Italian border. -Visit Menton and its inimitable Italian charm, we'd explore the old town and its wonders. . . (views, basilica, olive tasting if you'd like -free of charge-, legendary covered market, little shops, coffee break along the water. . . anything is possible really ;D) -Then, we'd cross the border (Passports are required) to drive through Ventimiglia, first Italian town and make our way up inland to Dolceaqua. We'd stroll through the village before having lunch there. Overlooking its famous bridge, maybe trying out the local Rossesse, their local red wine made on the spot with local vines. (No, not me !) - On our way back to Nice, we would discover the legendary village of eve and its stunning views. There is a possibility to visit the exotic garden at the every top which offers a 360° panorama as well as an impressive collection of cactus and a a very graceful collection of statues.

Enjoy free time to have lunch in one of the restaurants suggested by your guide (lunch price not included) Cross city of Roquebrune to arrive in Monaco and enjoy the extravagance of the second smallest country in the world, discover the Prince's palace, the old town, the cathedral where is the tombs of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly. Then your guide will drive you on the Formula 1 race-track making a full lap and also passing the harbor with its expensive yachts. Free time to see the famous Casino Square from the James Bond film, Monte Carlo is the place where you will see the most beautiful cars and the most expensive luxury boutiques. At the end of this beautiful day your guide will drive you to your accommodation.
