Full description

Eat your way around Venice on a tasting tour of some of the city's eateries, and see historical monuments along the way. Follow your foodie guide through the historic Rialto Market alongside the Grand Canal. End at Campo Santa Margherita square, surrounded by local restaurants and farmers’ markets. Meet your guide in the San Marco district. Cross the Rialto Bridge to visit the Rialto Market and marvel at the colorful fruit and vegetable stalls. Experience everyday life in the city as the locals come to purchase fresh fish and other ingredients.

Next, go to Campo San Polo and enter the Basilica dei Frari. Pass the square of Campo San Bartolomeo, where the locals like to gather. Along the way, taste a wide range of food specialties, from regional cheeses to buranelli biscuits and traditional cakes.

Sample some sweet tiramisù in the city where it was invented, and experience the unique culture of cicchetti, the tapas-like snacks loved by Venetians served in typically cozy bàcari (bars).

Wonderful! Vanessa was the best guide ever! We had a mixed group with different physical abilities so she adjusted the walking to make sure everyone was accommodated. Great info and even better street food. After the tour she provided lots of info on other less traveled locations in Venice. Highly recommend!

Our guide Vanessa was just perfect! So friendly and kind. We have booked the tour for 2 1/2 hours and have visited all in all 4 local stops - 3 Bars and 1 Ice cream store. At the end we needed about 3 hours for the tour, but it was so good and she gave us a lot of useful tips. When we booked the tour, we were afraid that the tour wouldn‘t worth the money but we weren‘t right - you don‘t only pay for the stuff you eat during the tour, you also pay for the knowledge/insider tips/informations the guide gives you and this is priceless! Due to a larger group than normally because of a very high demand they gave us the drinks for free which is usually not incuded. 10/10 would recommend!

Vanessa knows her food and Venetian history which blended. The tour was organised so very well. By the time I was thinking maybe I outh to sit down. chairs and table appeared and we had a little sit down and off we went again. Although the food were all small bits, it added up such that we didn't need to find lunch for the day. will definitely recommend.
